Happy Mothers Day

Here's an idea for a Mother's Day card if you still haven't made yours yet, this one is for my lovely Mum-in-law. The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (122652) it's my go to set that covers most occasions (including Easter) and I recommend you have this one in your stash.

The colours used are So saffron, pink pirouette and gumball green. I love these colours together, they remind me of spring and Easter time and really put me in a good mood. I thought I would share this photo of the daffodils in my garden, they just give we such a happy feeling.  I took this yesterday, it was cold but lovely in the sunshine.

If you are lucky enough to still have your Mum to enjoy Sunday with, give her an extra hug and appreciate that you do.

Fresh Prints from Stampin' Up

I love these little packs of designer series papers from Stampin' Up, they are the perfect size for matting and layering on a card but can also be used for making little boxes and bags and they are double sided too. I will be posting more ideas soon, so come back for those. Stampin' Up do these little packs in each mini catalogue to suit the season and I just love the colour combination in the current pack.

Below is a simple card, made in minutes but very effective when you need a card in a hurry.

I'll be back later in the week with an idea for a Mothers Day card which is this Sunday in the UK

Thank you!

I always need thank you cards, so when I'm playing around with inks and stamps I nearly always think "thank you cards".  I do give them to family and friends but a large amount go to my very good customers from Stampin' Up. I have made similar cards, like the one below, in the past but decided to make it easier for myself by cutting out a piece of acetate in the size I wanted. I put a label with the size on it for future use and so I can see it, acetate tends to disappear on your desk lol.  I stamped the sentiment where I wanted it using my stamp-a-ma-jig and then used a tiny bit of temporary adhesive to hold the acetate in place and drew round the acetate starting and ending with the sentiment.  This one was particularly good for this style of card but you could use any sentiment you like.

A very simple but effective card, don't you think? The thank you is from the stamp set Four You and at only £9.95 (130538) for the clear set I recommend it to everyone to have as a great go to set.

I used whisper white and wisteria wonder card stock and the flower and paint splodge is from one of my new sets called Happy Watercolour (133191) I have been creating a few things with this set and I'm finding the splodge really useful.

I plan on lots of crafting this weekend, starting tomorrow! Hope you get time for a bit of 'me time' crafting too.

It's good to share!

I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I was a customer long before I was a demonstrator but it's not just the fantastic coordinating products that I like, I like being part of the Stampin' Up community.  We even have are own community site where we chat online and share what we've created with each other. We have demonstrators from Europe but also from the USA, Canada and Australia and every one is so sharing that I'm never stuck for inspiration. The card I am sharing with you today was inspired by a fellow demonstrator from Massachusetts called Lisa Young, she has a blog called add ink and stamp, have a look at it, I think you will like it!

Happy Monday and I hope you have a great week.

Happy Birthday Joan

I can safely post the card I made for my friend as I give it to her yesterday! We had a little spa break to celebrate her happy day along with a lovely meal and lots of nice presents. I think she enjoyed it!

The card was quite thick when folded so I made this box envelope to put it in and finished it of with some ribbon and a flower made of felt using the spiral flower die (129379).

I will be back next week with some cards made using some lovely new stamp sets I am itching to ink up! Have a great weekend.

Hello again!

Happy Monday, sorry I haven't been around for awhile but I took a little holiday to sunny climes and I have to say it amazing what sunshine does for you at this time of year so I'm back feeling refreshed and ready to craft!

The first thing I made on my return was my monthly craft club thank you cards and little gifts. I used the Good as Gold card set that is still free with any order over £45 until the end of the month, it comes with envelopes with gold inserts. I changed them a bit by adding a tag to the front made using the new tag punch 133324. The stamped flower is from a lovely set called Happy Watercolour, lovely flowers and sentiments in this set, I love the 'you make me happy' sentiment, the set is order no 133191.
For the gifts, I made my own Strawberry Lipbalm, I found these lovely little tins with sliding lids online.

I plan on spending some time in my craft room this week as a dear friend has a birthday so I'll be back with the card I make her.

Hope to see you back here soon.
