Where's Spring?

With just over a week until March there is not much sign of spring here in Northern Ireland, lots of rain and gales! However the hardy daffodils are trying their best to flourish, mine have lots of buds and hopefully will be in flower soon.  We are a long way off having tulips in the garden so here are some on this lovely little card. I used the stamp Blessed Easter 133212 and it costs only £10.95.  I cut the sentiment off so I can use it separately as the tulips would make a nice image on their own for a spring birthday card.

I used one of the cards from the Watercolour wonder notecards, they are actually made of watercolour card so once you stamp your image you can colour in beautifully using an aqua painter brush and ink. There are twenty notecards in the pack and they come with envelopes, they are a real bargain as they work out at only 59p each!

There are four each of five designs, order number 133362.
As soon as I get time I will make some more cards using the other designs however I'll be a bit busy for awhile but I will be back soon.

          Have a lovely weekend.

Valentines Coffee Morning

Hello, our coffee morning was a great success yesterday, due in part to the weather getting a little better. We were worried if the weather was bad it would put people off coming out but they came and we raised a really good amount :-))
Here are the table favours I made, they seemed to go down well...

Here's a photo of the room. We all worked really hard to make the morning successful but it was worth it. Well done everyone!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope you all get a little romance in your life this weekend.;-) I will be helping out tomorrow with a Valentine themed coffee morning at my church. I made 60 table favours using the little Sweetheart treat bags from Stampin up for it, I'll share a photo after the event. In the meantime here's a photo of my February stamp club thank you card and gift.

Here's a closer photo of the little candles, I used Yankee tea-lights, so they smell gorgeous too! If you've never used this technique before it's very easy. Just stamp whatever you like on tissue paper, cut around it and then make a hole for the wick to fit through. Place it onto the candle then gently use the heat gun to melt the tissue into the wax, that's it! If you were making some for a birthday gift you could make a whole tray of them as they are quick to make.

Enjoy the weekend whatever you are doing and with all this bad weather in the UK, keep warm, dry and safe.

Sending many thanks

Happy Monday to you! I made this lovely little natural style card yesterday, I had the idea in my head while I was doing some chores so finished those up quickly and went into my craft room, I love how it turned out, hope you like it too.  I used the new chevron ribbon 132982 which is nicer in real life than it is in the catalogue. I also used my new petite petals punch 133322 which gives a really nice size flower for card making.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week.

Thoughts of Spring!

Well, it's a very wet and stormy day here in Northern Ireland but it's not as bad as some other areas in the UK so I'm thankful for that.  I got together with a group of lovely ladies yesterday to make Stampin' Up's Spring Wreath, it was actually quite spring like yesterday so it did make us feel like we were getting closer to spring but today it's back to winter! We had great fun making all the flowers while chatting around the table, we even had tea and scones with jam and cream, lovely...

Once Valentines day is over I shall be making a nice spring/ Easter display in my hall and this will be the centre piece of this, I love how it turned out.  If you would like to make this yourself you will find the kit in the new Spring catalogue 133333 costing £15.95.
Hopefully wherever you are the weather is not too bad, I'm using the bad weather here as a good excuse to stay indoors and do some crafting. I'm going to be using some lovely new products from the new mini catalogue that arrived during the week that I've been itching to play with ;-)
